The Perks of Being a Bookseller: Part 66

Hello all.

I don’t know where my time has been going. I keep falling further and further behind on everything. This feature included.

However, in the time that I have been (seemingly) flaunting away, this happened.

So, lots of books. That much is obvious. I’m most excited about Seeker, Red Queen, Monstrous… and, especially, The Orphan Queen! So geeked for that book.

I’m trying to vet my books better than I have in the past. I’m gearing up for a potential/eventual move and I simply can’t be acquiring THIS many books all at once. So, I am trying to be more aware of what I WILL realistically read… vs. what I WANT to read (which is everything). Of course it’s everything.

So, I’m only keeping about ten books out of the whole lot. The rest are going to giveaways (and work). I just CAN’T do them all.

That said, I’m reading three books now. Still on Gone with the Wind, though it’s been two weeks since I cracked it. I started An Ember in the Ashes today and I am halfway through The Dolls by Kiki Sullivan. I’m also (kind of) picking away at Sarah J. Maas’s short stories (the idea being that I want to read the third Throne of Glass book before her event at my store in September). I have no idea if I will get there. I’m not getting anywhere these days.

That said, trying my damndest. Fighting the good fight with all my might.

And, speaking of work… gotta go. What are you reading right now? What are you most looking forward to read?

Cheers all!
