Hello loves. It’s that time of the week again.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out these posts every week. It’s made for an interesting regular feature here on Bibliopunkk. It’s kind of nice to actually SEE how much I get weekly, to figure out averages over the course of a year. As of now I tend to get about 15 books a week, according to the tally I have been keeping… which is nothing to sneeze at.

Considering I read about 2 – 3 books per week you can see why I have a hard time keeping up.

Le sigh.

But, at least I have pretty books to show off to you folks. So, without further adieu here’s this week’s haul.

The Office of Mercy came from the fine folks at Penguin first thing. But here are the rest of the packages that trickled in shortly afterwards.

The contents of the box and parcels from the fine folks at Harpercollins… finals!

Also, I had no idea that this edition of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz existed, but it’s releasing on February 19, 2013. And it’s gorgeous! The book has big type and full color illustrations by Michael Sieben (Wwho you should go look at. His art is really nifty). The Oz series was always one of my favourites. So that was an enormous surprise.

Random ARCs and an Ally Carter final, which I bought (she’s coming to my store this Friday, by the by). So, as for the terms of my goals this year I have to read it. I am now up to four books for this particular goal for the year (Broken, The Hallowed Ones, The Prey, Perfect Scoundrels).

I also picked up book two in Ally Carter’s Heist Society series, but I read it once before. So there’s that. I just needed it for the signing.

There’s a neat thing to The 5th Wave ARC, and once I figure out how to scan from my scanner again I will show it to you all (I haven’t used it in eons, so I don’t remember how to work it). I’m getting my first ever blurb published in an actual book, and it’s in both the ARC and will be in the final hardcover of Rick Yancey’s The 5Th Wave… which was tremendous, and I am excited for you to be able to read it.

But… my name will be printed in a book… even just as a blurb. This is awesome and I have been waiting years for it to occur.

Go me.

And there it is… the rest of the books in all their glory.

Also… these were not (all) things that all arrived this week, but I have realized that in the last month this has happened in my house…

I now have a small (albeit supposedly good) New Adult section available to me at home… and I can only imagine that this has happened because I posted this post a little while ago.

I have the worst foot in mouth disease ever.

Sigh.

In for a penny in for a pound.

One of my best friends recently found herself spouting off about The Fifty Shades of Grey books online and, as such, felt the need to read them (since she had pre-conceived notions about the books). She now says she learned a valuable lesson about books and cover judging and all those proverbs and idioms (in a super rare bible quote from yours truly “judge not lest ye be judged“). She took a lot of entertainment from the Fifty Shades books despite her earlier misgivings. I feel like my mouthing off about the New Adult genre has caught the pubs attention, so now I have the books as penance for my words.

Well played, publishers. Well played. I guess I have to read them now.

Again, the penny and the pound thing.

Well, that’s it for this week. I’ll do my damnedest to get that blurb scanned and uploaded here shortly. Until then, happy reading all.

Oh! And go join these contests while you are at it.
