The Secret Project Revealed: Part 5

Once again…Awwww…Mauling. Sadface.

All, it has happened. I have written another “secret” writing project.

This is relative now, as everyone knows this happens in December but, you know, precedent and all. It’s still officially a “secret” so long as I say it is.

To sum up, I spent the last five weeks working on a new manuscript and I typed the words THE END on it last night. Barring a few edits and a reread of the last three chapters, I hit about 98,000 words…which is not insignificant, by any means.

It also means that I have started a writing project every December since 2011. With the exception of last year’s, which I had to put aside temporarily in order to move, they all concluded in January (2014/15’s project was finished in March 2015).

Of course, now this means that I have to catch up on all of my year-end posts that I should have written six weeks ago before descending into writing chaos (and didn’t). Those will be arriving imminently along with some 2016 reading challenge polls I have yet to put up because, again. Chaos.

Once again, it’s Fairy Tales and it’s completely messed up.

And I love it. All of it.

Boring stats, for those interested in those sort of things.

Word count – 98,031
Total hours – approximately 90 – 100
Total days worked on the first draft = 27
Average word count per day that I wrote = 3,630 words.

It did it again, folks! Yay for me.

Happy 2016, all! It’s a good start, thus far.

Wow, I’m so jealous! That’s incredible! I wrote one manuscript, and it’s been sitting gathering dust on my computer somewhere. Work and taking care of a toddler have taken over. But I did just do a couple of Writer’s Cramps recently on to get revved up again. It’s definitely addicting! One of my goals this year is to post on people’s blog posts more to support all the awesome stuff you guys write about and all the effort you put into your blogs! Happy New year!
