Well folks, it’s time for this week’s edition of Perks. I didn’t get a lot this week, as you can see… for me at least, especially considering the last few weeks worth of books.

The Perks of Being a Bookseller: Part One
The Perks of Being a Bookseller: Part Two
What I did get though, were a lot of duplicates. Which means giveaways are imminent, so keep watching.
Also, I bought MY FIRST BOOK of 2013 (Broken by A.E. Rought) which means, according to my Goalwar for the year that I have to read it at some point. This year. Not next year, this year.
A.E. Rought, it’s on.
…And, it’s a Frankenstein retelling, which means you have your work cut out for you.
(One of my top ten favourite books. Ever.)
As for the reading process, I fear I have done something rather naughty (insert Coupling moment here). I am *gasp* rereading Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. Now, that may not sound like much to you but with the pile of ARCs staring at me it makes me feel defiant and rebellious, like I am neglecting my homework on purpose. Of course the reread is in preparation for the upcoming movie, but it’s also for me. I read it 4 years ago and I’m fuzzy on the details. But I want to read book four for the first time and I need a refresher, so I am going through all of them again.
And it feels decadent.
(and yes, I feel guilty.)
To that end I will probably sandwich ARCs in between each book, so I don’t feel as bad as I do now. C’est la vie.
And thanks to a crummy bout of sinus ick this is where I have been spending a lot of my free time, when I am not at work.
I like to think of this as my office.
That’s all for this week’s Perks. What are you most looking forward to? What do you want to see me give away?
