Winter’s Shadow Request

Sometimes it’s awesome to be a bookseller. I can pretty much request any book I want from the publishers at this point and, as long as there are advanced copies being printed, I can usually get one. In this case of overseas books, though, this advantage becomes moot.

I’ve become enamoured with the idea of Winter’s Shadow by M.J. Hearle. It is published by Pan Macmillan Australia and, unfortunately, is not available stateside yet. I really want to read this sometime soon, partially, I imagine, because I can’t get my hands on it yet. I’m sure the desire is largely fueled by that one tiny but ever so crucial detail.

However, I want. And I can’t have. Pout.

…and I can’t even find an outlet to buy it yet because, to the best of my knowledge, no one will ship it to the US (without a heftier sum of money than I am willing to part with) and it’s not on ebay. Yet.

So, gentle readers… beloved, awesome, kind readers… anyone want to hook a sister up? I’ll take a link to a site I can purchase it from OR I can purchase it directly from a reader for a (reasonable) sum OR … How can I put this delicately *ahem* as a giftie gift?

Australia readers, I have my hopes on you. I ask for very little, and I currently *want* this book.

So, yeah… comment away or email me at . Pass it on!

UPDATE: As of August 1st, 2011 I have a copy of this coming from Australia with the helps of a generous friend. Thanks Jenni for going in on it with me.
