Review – Cryptic Cravings

…Yeah, I finished two books in one day, because I am awesome. What?

Actually it’s because I was cutting China Mieville with YA. That, and I can read a Vampire Kisses book in one two-hour sitting. Yep.

In Cryptic Cravings by Ellen Schreiber the Vampire population of Dullsville is growing exponentially. Raven is worried that the normies in DV will notice the vamps, particularly since there are plans of a new nightclub in the works – The Crypt. Jagger wants it to be open to Vamps and mortals like The Coffin Club before it but Raven knows that would be trouble for the Vamps. Meanwhile, it’s Alexander and Raven’s birthdays and Raven knows the perfect gift he can give her. Immortality.

I was worried that power reading through all of the Vampire Kisses books and then reading another one out of synch would be a mistake. No, these really aren’t all that deep. Meaning that they are easy to get back into once you have been away from them (hello, two hours!). They are fun and fast and a touch Scooby Doo and clearly for ten-year-olds. But I like them anyways.

4 out of 5 stars.
