The Girl who is “The Girl”

Of course I had to be punny.

Lisbeth Salander has been cast in the American film version of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, or “Men Who Hate Women”, which is the original Swedish title and the one I’m finding I prefer. I’m super glad that they found a girl who is a relative unknown actress, or little known, rather. She’ll rise to instant stardom because of the roll like what happen to Robert Pattinson with the Twilight movies.

I’m in the second hundred pages of reading the book. I’m doing it slowly, as I don’t usually read mysteries. However, I, like many other readers, have fallen utterly in love with Lisbeth. There’s something to her that beckons to the reader. I can see why the books have become an international phenomenon based on her character alone.

Will I finish it? That’s a good question.. the whole “not a fan of mysteries” rears its ugly head through much of the reading. We shall see.
